Anushka: Akshay Kumar was fabulous

Singer, VJ and ex-member of the all girl band Viva, Anushka Manchanda has won Khatron Ke Khiladi level -- 2.

The singer, who formed her own band Shkabang and sung in several films like Do Knot Disturb, Dulha Milgaya, Kites, Alladin, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani and Pyaar Impossible, overcame her biggest fears to clinch the title.

She recounts her eventful journey.

"The stunts were much harder than they looked on television," she said adding that though being on the show was crazy and stressful, it was overall a wonderful experience.

"The show has helped me become stronger. I also came to know my strengths and weaknesses," she added.

So did she expect to win the title?

"When I first entered the show, I never thought about winning or losing. But after being consistent for a few weeks I worked hard to be in the finals."

She continued, "Snakes and worms are quite harmless. Lizards are creepy but I am not really scared of them. However, cockroaches are another story altogether. After Khatron Ke Khiladi, I hate those little things," she said.

As for her fears, Anushka said the show helped her overcome her biggest -- fear of drowning.

"I was always scared of being underwater. So all underwater stunts were difficult for me," she said. "However after this show I have at least overcome that fear. This show is the perfect place to get rid of your fears. Safety measures and precautions are taken so that you know you will be safe."

So what was the most exciting stunt?

"It was when we were in a helicopter. We had to walk from one wing to other."

What about the other contestants? Did she make friends?

"I made lots of friends though I mostly hung out with Sonali Nigrani, Pia Trivedi, Carol Gracias and Swetha Salve. I even got along very well with Jessie Randhawa," she said.

What next?

"Now I will busy with my first album and stage shows," she answered. "I am really busy but I need to throw a party for my friends because if I don't, they will kill me."

About Khatron Ke Khiladi's host Askhay Kumar she said, "He was fabulous. I didn't expect him to be so involved. He wanted us to do the stunts really well and would step in to perform some of them just to demonstrate how easy they really were."

So what she will do with the prize money?

"I have been saving money to buy a flat in Mumbai," pat came the reply.
