The year has been quite successful for singer-composer Pritam with Billu, New York, Love Aaj Kal and All the Best doing well at the music charts.
This November, he has three releases back to back -- Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Tum Mile and De Dana Dhan.
Pritam talks to Nithya Ramani about composing for De Dana Dhan, breaking into song every now and then on video. Over to Pritam:
De Dana Dhan is my sixth film with Priyan sir. I'm doing two more with him. I haven't worked with any other director as many times as I have worked with Priyan sir.
Post Dhoom, Priyan and Ratanji (Jain) of Venus Records gave me a break with Garam Masala. De Dana Dhan is a comeback of sorts of the trio. I'm looking forward to this film. I hope this month turns out to be the best of my life.
Chaloon Mein Tere Peeche Peeche might give you the feeling of Aaj Din Chaddeya from Love Aaj Kal because of Rahat (Fateh Ali Khan) saab. Apart from that, there is nothing in common between the music of Love Aaj Kal and De Dana Dhan. The music in Love Aaj Kal was very Punjabi inclined; this is not. I hope that common thing will be the sales because Love Aaj Kal's music is still going strong.
