Who's the best man for Deepika?

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone had it all when the country toasted her for her Om Shanti Om debut.

She had a superhit film with the world's biggest star, announced she was dating Kapoor family scion Ranbir, a megastar in the making, and her films were doing better than her contemporaries.

Now, Dee's been dumped by Kapoor, and her films, while some making money, are drawing universal disdain for her sheer lack of acting skills.

But give a girl a chance. Focussing on the positives, here are a few guys we thought Deepika could date to get herself out of this slump:

Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh

The Punjab Kings XI batsman is getting universal flak for his non-performance in this year's IPL, but Yuvraj Singh still gets to hug Preity Zinta and occasionally hit those sixes -- so in a way that makes him a perfect companion to Deepika.

They can do lots of ads together and avoid all question of talent whatsoever.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor

Great successes with Jab We Met and Kaminey have proven that Shahid is a bonafide leading man with potential, and it wouldn't be a bad idea for Deepika to attach herself to his star.

She can't act and it takes a pretty solid director to make Shahid shake off his SRK-clone acting, but they might look good together. Wait, is she much taller?

Siddharth Mallya

The most realistic suitor of the bunch, Mallya Jr is following in dad Vijay Mallya's footsteps and setting quite the reputation as a creature of the night.

Siddharth is just what a sensational woman like Deepika could go for -- a boyish billionaire with an identity that could still be spun into whatever the woman wants.

Neil Nitin Mukesh

Neil Nitin Mukesh

She might be significantly taller than the lean, lighteyed boy, but something tells us that Deepika would look good with Neil.

The two made their Hindi movie debuts with directors who used their prettiness and camouflaged their wooden acting skill, and there's no reason they shouldn't be a great couple both on and off-screen -- now if only we can pick someone to direct the shaadi.
