Rakhi Sawant: I won't expose any more

Headline-grabbing item girl Rakhi Sawant is back.

After entertaining us with last year's shows Rakhi Ka Swayamwar and Pati Patni Aur Woh, the diva will be seen in the second season of Star Plus' Zara Nachke Dikha where the women have been pitted against the men on the dance floor.

According to Rakhi, she's happy to be back, in part because she gets "positive energy" from dancing.

Read on as she talks about the show, why she won't expose and her new show on the life of Jesus Christ. Excerpts:

Why another reality show?

Dance is my passion. It's in my blood. God has filled me with enormous talent. I have returned to a dance reality show after three years. This will be my sixth reality show.

I've always loved being part of dance reality shows. When I did Nach Baliye, we followed a different style of dancing, which became popular. And people started following us after that.

This time also I plan to do something different, and I know people will follow this too. You all know that wherever I go, I make history. I am going to repeat it with Zara Nachke Dikha [smiles].

'I have nothing against Sanjeeda and Aamir Ali'

Sanjeeda and Aamir Ali -- winners of Nach Baliye 3 -- are also part of this show. How will you face them? (Rakhi walked out after it was announced that Sanjeeda and Aamir had won)

I have nothing against the couple. My bone of contention was with Star Plus.

It was sad that they both spoke against me, but they should realise that it is wrong to take away somebody's hard earned effort.

Now things have worked out between the channel and me. I was invited to be part of the finale of another reality show on the same channel. They also know what sells.

'Elesh had an affair during my Swayamvar'

You ex-boy friend Abishek Awashti is also one of the contestants from the boys' team?

I have forgiven Abhishek and it's a closed chapter. But somewhere down the line, he knows what he did was wrong. In a dance show, I will treat each male as an opponent, and I am going to fight equally. The girls' team will win for sure.

Your Swayamvar prompted Rahul Mahajan to do the same. Now he has selected his bride, Dimpy Ganguly...

I don't understand why a rich and politically well-connected guy like Rahul had to go the Swayamvar way. My case was different because I didn't have any family support.

Dimpy must have entered the show just for the publicity, but she should have opted out of marriage. I don't think she will be able to do modelling or acting now, since she is married to Rahul.

As per the contract, if chosen, the person has to get married.

Elesh Parunjanwala's -- (Rakhi chose him as her husband in the Swayamvara) -- parents were also never in favour of marriage. They would act sweet only in front of the media.

Even Elesh did not want to get married. I want to let you in on a secret: Elesh even had an affair during the show. The girl was fired.

Elesh got away only because he could speak English and I could not. If I wanted I could have had him arrested, as I have strong dope on him but Jesus Christ told me to move on. So I have forgiven him.

'I do not let any bad vibes bother me'

Which was the most memorable reality show so far?

I liked all except Pati Patni aur Woh. I ran away twice, but the channel did not show it. The channel smartly tried to spice it up by just keeping a single bed. I rightly left Elesh after the engagement.

Do you feel that people talk too much about your personal life?

I don't care if people talk about me because I do not let any bad vibes bother me. I am not scared of what anyone says about me.

'I am working on a film on the life of Jesus Christ'

Why aren't we seeing you in any more item numbers?

I keep getting a lot of offers but I have decided that I will neither do any films nor expose any more. I had two songs and a few scenes in Dil Bole Hadipaa but they were edited. I had lot of hopes about the film.

Jesus told me that I don't need to show my body to get attention -- my face and dance moves will be enough. I will still continue to say the truth loudly. Did I not shut up the Censor Board who had chopped out the 'kamina' word from my music video Bhoot?

I showed the court worse words in films which it had allowed to go uncut. I gave the Censor Board a list of 200 movies which had abusive words being used against women. Why single out my album alone? It is high time that the CB accept this fact and stay mum on such issues henceforth.

Do you want to continue participating in reality shows all your life?

I wouldn't mind doing a woman-oriented role in a fiction show. I am also busy with my production house, Faith Inc. I am also working on the life of Jesus Christ. Nothing is finalised yet. Am in talks with two channels. Let's see.

What about you Mr Right?

I still believe that my Mr Right will soon come around. I want a guy who is independent and can take care of me.
