Now that Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the golden couple of 90s Bollywood, are reuniting on screen for Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan, we take a look at various other actor-actress combos we'd love to see sharing the marquee together again.
Arranged in no particular order of awesomeness, here are some truly awesome pairs who ought to work again, no matter what:
Govinda and Karisma Kapoor
Acting chops be darned, the kind of loony chemistry these two provided in many a film regaled us through the nineties.
Tackling every possible subject through song -- from khatiyas to deceased grandparents to cellphone numbers -- they carried off inanity like nobody else.
Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai
One of the most evocative yet opulent romances in recent cinema was in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Khan and Ash striking an immensely sensual chord as their eyes met and love, um, happened.
It's their love you remember, even if Salman didn't end up with the girl.
Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra
Few recent couples have matched the sheer sizzle seen between Akshay and Priyanka, the actress flaunting a wonderfully aggressive sexuality to perfectly match Kumar's tremendous testosterone track record.
Positively electric, this coupling of wildcat and warhorse.
Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji
While the SRK-Kajol pairing is one for the ages, the romantic star enjoyed a fantastic sensuality in his on-screen dalliances with Mukerji.

Their chemistry in the goofball Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya is refreshingly believable, in an old-school Bollywood way.
Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla
Back when Khan played a college boy... Oh, wait.
Seriously though, Aamir owed a lot of his early rise to a terrific chemistry with Juhi, the two turning into the mainstream embodiment of young lovers, completely smitten and star-crossed and ready to take on the world.
Two very fine actors playing to their strengths -- always awesome.
Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit
These two are the stuff of screen magic. Kapoor and Dixit burned up the screen together many a time.
They made the rare celluloid couple that could do anything: from playfulness, to obsession to insecurity to revenge sagas, they defied genre and the law of averages to always click -- and click very memorably indeed.
Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon
Who among us children of Bollywood can ever forget Kumar gaping at a drenched yellow Raveena?
Finding an overwhelmingly oomphy foil in Tandon, Akshay laid on the intensity, resulting in chemistry so raw, so overt that it made the pair impossible to ignore.
Urmila Matondkar and Jugal Hansraj
Alright, so these two didn't play a couple. Still, it must be remembered that their first film, Masoom, featuring them as brother and sister, remains unquestionably the best film of both their careers.
Maybe bringing the screen siblings back could just rekindle some spark in their filmographies? Worth a try.
Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia
Another legendary pair, and we're willing to wait for it.
It seemed unlikely that the beefcake Deol would strike an on-screen chord with the luscious, delicate Kapadia, but the two worked fantastically on screen, believable, relatable and looking very striking together.
