Amitabh Bachchan has personalised his life even further for his fans. Now, you don't have to only log on to his blog to catch up on the events in the Big B's life. You can hear it from Amitabh himself!
A new service called Bachchan Bol was launched in Mumbai yesterday, where the actor records his voice through the day. Users can dial 505678910 from their phones, and get a regular update on Amitabh's life. This new system is called vogging (voice blogging).

Amitabh talks about vogging, and much more in this exclusive chat with Nithya Ramani.
What is your take on modern day communication systems?
Communication has become very large and important. It becomes difficult for one to keep away from it. Be it electronic, internet, mobile, something or the other is going to come into our lives and we cannot afford to keep away from it.
Will your fans be able to talk to you through this medium?
In the near future, yes.
Many of us want to hear your voice. Whose voice is it that you would love to hear?
Everybody's voice. While shooting, there are times when you don't get to interact with your co-actors. I would like to call Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman and Katrina Kaif. I would also like to talk to Aishwarya. Though she stays in our house, I hardly get to talk to her.
Now that you will be vogging, will you blog less?
Don't you ever believe that I will blog less. I will continue writing. But there are times when you want express it in your voice.
You have stayed away from Twitter and other social networking websites, and stuck to blogging only. Vogging is a similar kind of communication. Why did you choose vogging as opposed to tweeting?
I got to know about Twitter much after blogging. Big Adda provided me with many facilities similar to Twitter. It would be a clash of interests if I tweeted as well. Because of the growing technology, everybody wants to be on the go. I may go on to Twitter and connect my blog to it or vice versa.
What can be expect from your vogging?
If I feel strongly about something and think I need to voice my opinion, I will record that. It will basically be my thoughts for the day and my views on certain issues. I may promote my films through this too.
Will we get to hear only what you have to say, or is there an option for listeners to select what they would like to hear?
As far as my understanding goes, there are options which will enable you to scroll and select a particular area.
How often will you update the recordings, keeping your busy schedule in mind?
I can record whatever I want, whenever I want -- while traveling, during breaks between shoots. I will try to do this as often as possible. But I am told that I should do it at least twice a week.
We believe you haven't signed any films for a year now. Any specific reason?
I hope to do more films. I hope people want to work with me. I haven't signed any film since the last year because I had five films waiting for release. Teen Patti, which will release by the end of February, is the last of these releases.
Your last release Rann did not get a good opening at the box office. What is your take on this?
There have been mixed opinions about the film. I liked working on it and my role, even though it wasn't large on content.
Rann hasn't done terribly well or the kind of business that Paa did. I don't know the facts or figures but I still get SMSes and comments on my blog about people liking it.
