Farhan and Hrithik's birthday bash

It was a birthday unlike others.

Close friends Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan decided to celebrate their 36th birthday together at a posh lounge in Mumbai's Juhu suburb. Farhan's birthday falls on January 9 while Hrithik's is on the next day.

Like all Bollywood parties, the stars came out in droves.

Birthday boy Hrithik look a little worse for wear. You would be too if you'd just come from a rather intense shooting schedule. We bet Hrithik can't wait to get rid of the beard he's sporting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzarish -- the film which he is currently shooting.

Star wives Gauri Khan and Suzanne Roshan smile for the cameras, and make a pretty picture.

Of course, Gauri was accompanied by her husband Shah Rukh Khan, who made sure he attended his Don director's birthday.

Looks like tinseltown's hot jodi -- Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan -- don't like the attention that much as they hurriedly made a run for it.

Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya made it to the party too. They later left with Shah Rukh to continue partying at Mannat, Shah Rukh's place.

Salman Khan was noticably absent at the party. But his absence was made up by brothers Arbaaz and Sohail, who came with their respective wives, Malaika and Seema Khan.

Preity Zinta and Kangna Ranaut were also spotted making their way to the party. Preity has worked with both Hrithik and Farhan in the film, Lakshya.

Neelam may be off the movie scene but she makes sure she doesn't miss the parties. Minissha Lamba was spotted at the party too.

Vivek Oberoi made a grand entrance astride his new purchase, a black-and-yellow Ducati 1098. It looks like he has started socialising in parties attended by his former girlfriend Ash.
