Bollywood's heroines get hotter!

Bollywood has been snapped for your desktop once again, in ace lensman Dabboo Ratnani's 2010 calendar.

This time, Dabboo has shot spectacular black and white pictures of 24 of the top Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Dabboo claims that most of the pictures are dark and intense, and only two look 'bright and happy.'

Going by the pictures, it's no wonder that the the lensman topped the list for the Most Influential People in the Asian Photography industry.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The focus of this picture is Aishwarya's face. Aishwarya is known for her soft, bright and happy pictures. So we wanted to try something different for her. We thought of a grungy, dark look with attitude.

You cannot go wrong with Aishwarya when you're shooting her. She knows her angles. She gets involved in whatever she does and gives inputs. She is very impromptu and natural.

This picture took three hours to shoot.

Kangna is drapped with a tattered black fabric, tied together with a rope. The idea for this sort of outfit came to me from the pin-up outfits that I had seen on models, clothes that are just drapped around the body.

We used a lot of dramatic lighting to make the picture look intense. Kangna is also known to do intense characters in her movies, and I wanted to capture that.

This picture was shot in 25 minutes but it took about three hours to do the make-up and styling.

Kangna is very focused. She can go to any extent to get her picture right. She does a lot of research and even practices poses at home.

Priyanka is bare backed in this shot, holding up a blazer. It's a very sensual picture.

Priyanka has a stunning body and has done complete justice to the photograph. She had cut her hair short but I wanted longer hair for this picture. So we used hair extensions. That has increased the sensuality of the photograph.

Priyanka and I go a long way. I have know her from her Miss India days. We would go to the same gym. In fact, our first photoshoot was planned at the gym. 

Priyanka has a lot of energy. She enjoys photoshoots thoroughly.

It took me 20 minutes to shoot this picture and about two hours for make-up and styling.

Sonam gives us a glimpse of her back in this silver gown.

This gown was from Sonam's personal collection. She has a great collection of outfits. This is like a fashion picture with great mood and expression.

Even though she is new (to the film industry), Sonam is very good in front of the camera. She follows the photographer's instructions to the T. She's very open to experiments.

It took me 10 minutes to shoot this picture and about 45 minutes for the make-up and styling.

Kareena wore a short black dress for the shoot. She was asked to lie down on a white couch. This picture is very straightforward, and sexy.

Since she was lying down on the couch, there was not much we could do. But she kept turning on the couch and moving her hands. This is one of the two bright pictures that I have shot for the calendar.

Earlier Kareena did not like photoshoot but now, she has started liking them. She puts in a lot of effort and follows instructions.

It took me 20 minutes to shoot this picture and one hour to do the styling and make-up.
