Katie Holmes to join Glee cast
Katie Holmes could be next in line to join the cast of television musical Glee.
The former Dawson's Creek star is apparently in talks with the Fox network bosses to feature in a five-part guest spot during Glee's upcoming second season.
The National Enquirer reports Holmes has already hired a private singing coach to help her prepare for the role.
'Katie is finalising a deal to join the cast for a limited story line next season,' Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.

$ 25 million for Twilight stars
Twilight stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will reportedly fetch $ 25 million each for starring in the two parts of Breaking Dawn.
Production company Summit Entertainment will pay the stars an unprecedented $ 25 million each against 7.5 per cent of the theatrical gross for their role, reports New York magazine.
According to box office guru Paul Dergarabedian of Hollywood.com, the stars have landed in Will Smith territory.
'A $ 20 million pay day was typically reserved for A-list stars back in hey day of big salaries,' the New York Daily News quoted him as saying.
'This proves the point that [these days] the star doesn't make the box office, the box office makes the star,' he added.
No more Harry Potter!
With the wrapping up of the eighth and the last Harry Potter movie, the young stars of the film are set to move on.
Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, said that she wants to concentrate on student life, so she is not signing any new movies at present.
'The scripts all have happy endings, they're really badly written and they are sending them to an English literature student,' E! Online quoted Watson as telling London's Daily Mail.
Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, on the other hand, may have a bright career as director Martin Scorsese really likes him.
'I thought he was great in the Harry Potter movies -- in a lot of scenes, the boy stole the show,' the director told the London Guardian. 'I would be very interested in working with him. I would have no issues in casting him as a gangster. He is a very talented young man.
'When [Leonardo DiCaprio] was in Romeo and Juliet, nobody saw him becoming a badass in movies like The Departed. But he has become one of the greatest actors of all time. The very same could be true for Rupert,' Scorsese added.
Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf in a murder mystery
The producers of Riptide are hoping to cast Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf in the murder mystery.
According to Pajiba, production company Summit Entertainment has put out offers to both actors to co-star in the film. The story follows the mystery of what happens to a group of people aboard a ship when a man is murdered on board, reports Contactmusic.
While a director has not yet been hired for the film, the script was originally created by Spooks writer Richard McBrien before being given a revamp by Frost/Nixon scriptwriter Peter Morgan.
Dev Patel finds it 'too awkward' to work with Freida
Dev Patel has no plans to work with his Slumdog Millionaire co-star Freida Pinto in the future.
The actor rose to fame in director Danny Boyle's Oscar-winning film and found love with his costar Pinto after shooting on the 2008 film wrapped.
However, Patel ruled out working with Pinto again because it would be 'too awkward' now their onscreen love has turned into a real-life romance.
'We laugh too much around each other now. It would be too awkward,' Contactmusic quoted Patel as saying.
