Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao played perfect hosts at the music launch of their home production, Peepli Live, at Blue Frog cafe in Lower Parel (located in central Mumbai) on Tuesday.
Peepli Live, for those who don't know, is a satire on farmer suicides. True to its theme, the event had a rustic flavour.
Here's a closer look at the music launch. We start with this video of Indian Ocean performing a song from the film.

Aamir flew down the villagers from Badwai, Rajasthan, who sang the Mehangaai dayan song in the film.
Peepli Live, incidentally, has been filmed in the same village.
The evening also saw performances from Nagin Tanvir (the late theatre guru and poet Habib Tanvir's daughter), and actor Raghuvir Yadav, who stars in the film. Yadav, interestingly, had come to Mumbai years ago to become a singer. Instead, he became a very talented character actor.
The highlight of the evening was Aamir Khan taking to the drums, and belting out a cool number.
"It was a childhood dream to perform on stage with a long-haired and bearded band. I finally got an opportunity, thanks to Indian Ocean," Aamir said.
Many film personalities turned up for the event like Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Rajkumar Hirani, Ronnie Screwwala, Ayaan Mukherjee, Atul Kulkarni and Sharman Joshi. The film's director Anusha Rizvi was also present.
