Get your low down on what's happening in the world of Hollywood, right here!

Twilight actor Robert Pattinson is related to Vlad-the Impaler, the Transylvanian leader who served as the inspiration for the main character in Bram Stoker's Dracula, according to genealogists.

Experts at Ancestry.com found that Pattinson and Vlad III Dracula are connected through their relationship to the British royal family.

While Prince William and Prince Harry are Pattinson's distant cousins, Vlad the Impaler was their distant uncle, reports News.com.au.

'Tracing Pattinson's family back to Vlad was difficult research, but the pieces that unraveled created the perfect accompaniment to the Twilight Saga,' Anastasia Tyler, a genealogist, said.

'Without any myth or magic, we find royalty and vampires lurking in Pattinson's life -- making his story just as supernatural as the one he's playing on screen,' Tyler added.

American singer Mariah Carey has been sued by her vet over unpaid bills.

The vet has accused the 40-year-old singer of refusing payment for the 'extraordinary services' she performed for her three dogs.

Doctor Cindy Bressler said she did over 37,000 dollars of work taking care of Cha-Cha, Dolomite and JJ, but Carey has only paid a part of her bill, according to the papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Bressler does house calls in Manhattan and the Hamptons.

She said she took care of the three dogs 'at the special instance and request' of the Precious star between October 31 and December 2, 2009.

'Bressler rendered veterinary services including extraordinary services to the defendant's canines,' the paper said.

According to the suit, Bressler "performed work, labor and services on the defendant's canines at the agreed price and reasonable value of 37,790.32 dollars, which sum Carey agreed to pay."

But Carey only shelled out 8,231.50 dollars, and refused to give any more even though she never disputed over the rest of the bill, according to the suit, reports The New York Post.
