Nithya Ramani in Mumbai
It's been a year since Michael Jackson left us. And though he is gone, he's far from forgotten. On his first death anniversary today (June 25), two of his die-hard fans -- choreographer Remo D'Souza and Prince from Mumbai -- pay tribute to the King of Pop in the only way they know how.
Over to Remo:
"I started dancing after watching Micheal Jackson's Thriller," Remo says. He's been a Michael Jackson fan ever since. However, when the King of Pop came to Mumbai to perform at the Andheri Sports Complex, it was the "saddest day" of Remo's life as he couldn't afford a ticket.
"I tried standing at the gate to get a glimpse of him but all I could see was his car," he recalled.
But he is glad to have met Jermaine Jackson, Michael's brother during his visit to Mumbai. "I am happy that I met somebody from his family," he laughs.
Remo promises not to mourn. "We will celebrate. We will listen to his songs and dance our hearts out," he says.
