Salman Khan's day in court

The actor is seen making his way to a special court in Mumbai on Thursday as a prosecution witness to depose against gangster Chhota Shakeel's henchman Anjum Fazlani.

According to the prosecution, Fazlani had threatened Salman to reduce his fee for producer Nazim Rizvi's movie Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001) or face dire consequences.

Salman, clad in a black shirt and cream trousers, stood in the witness box for over half an hour and calmly answered all the questions put forth by the public prosecutor.

Executive producers of the mini series The Pacific, director Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the World War II Memorial on the Washington Mall.

The pair were joined by 250 World War II veterans in a tribute to those who served in the Pacific theatre of World War II, before the March 14 premiere of the 10-part HBO miniseries The Pacific.

At left is Scott Gould, Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs and also watching on is Senator Elizabeth Dole, on behalf of the Honor Flight Network that aided some veterans in travel to the ceremony.
