Bollywood's biggest stars have agreed to come together to raise funds for the Cine and Television Artists Association (CINTAA).
Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and 52 others have agreed to perform at the fundraiser for free.
Their performances will be telecast in six episodes. STAR CINTAA Superstars Ka Jalwa first airs on Sunday, March 21, at 9:00 pm on Star Plus.
The charitable contribution by the channel will provide CINTAA's members a welfare facility.
Talking about the show and the new facility, legendary actor and president of CINTAA Mithun Chakraborthy said, "We are pleased that for the first time we are going to do something for ourselves, for our artists and superstars."
"It's always been rumoured that in the (film) industry, people are selfish and have no feelings for each other. This is the event were we can prove it wrong, as each and every cine artist has contributed, and that too without returns. They all have performed and signed on the proposal with out expecting a single penny. This was a truly charitable deed which will in turn come to us," added Salman Khan.
The show promises viewers a flashback into the golden years of Indian cinema, and revisits memorable occasions and special moments from the veterans and present shining stars of Bollywood.
