Bollywood raises funds for Haiti quake victims

Anil Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut are snapped at an auction of Indian modern art organised to raise funds for Haiti earthquake victims, in Mumbai on Sunday.

Haiti was hit by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake on January 12 this year that left more than 220,000 dead and large swaths of the capital, Port-au-Prince, in ruins.

Former Nepali Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, who helped broker peace with the former Maoist rebels to end a decade-long civil war, died on Saturday after an illness, officials said.

The six-time prime minister passed away at the age of 86 at his daughter's home in Kathmandu, where thousands of supporters had gathered.
