In an increasing show of familial affection that would make our own Karan Johar proud, Hollywood actors and actresses are frequently bringing their mothers to the red carpet instead of spouses and lovers.
Here's a quick look at some mamma's boys and then some girls with their moms:
George Clooney
Oscar-winning actor George took his mother Nina to the premiere of his highly acclaimed Up In The Air.
The striking Nina won many a beauty pageant in her time, and continues to look extremely attractive. No surprises where George gets his dazzling looks, eh?
Jeremy Renner
Star of Kathryn Bigelow's Oscar-sweeping Hurt Locker, Oscar-nominee Jeremy Renner took his mother Valerie to the Oscar show.
Renner, at 39, is one of the 'discoveries' of the season and we bet his mother couldn't have been prouder.
Robert Downey Jr.
Iron Man star Downey Jr took his mother Elise along when he was getting his hands cemented for posterity on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame.
Back when Robert Downey Sr used to make films, Elise acted in several of them.
Jude Law
Now playing Watson to Downey's Holmes, Law took his mother Margaret along to the 2004 Oscar awards, when he was nominated for the film Cold Mountain.
Maggie, like Law's father Peter, was a teacher in South London.
