With the Indian Premier League finally behind us, channels are ready to unleash a series of shows.

After looking at the line-up of reality shows in store for us, here's a look at the serials:

Soap: Baat Hamari Pakki
Status: Starting May 24
Timing: Monday to Thursday, 8 pm

The show is all about the two protagonists coming from very traditional families that believe in arranged marriages. The drama will move forward as the families fix up a marriage between the two protagonists, who are very different from each other.

Soap: Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah

Channel: Sony
Status: Starting May 24
Timing: 8.30 pm

The show is the tale of a daughter who fights for the pride of her mentally-challenged father set against a rustic backdrop.

Sana Sheikh

Soap: Keshav Pandit

An adaptation of Hindi author Ved Prakash Sharma's best-selling novel of the same name, Keshav Pandit tells the story of a person who gets punished for a crime in childhood.

He is given a law book by someone and asked to read all the clauses so that he can use them to his advantage. Keshav then becomes a master of law, without even acquiring a law degree.

Keshav's aim is to help the downtrodden and wage a war on the culprits.

Sana Sheikh plays the daughter and the protagonist in this story of a daughter and father.

Vishal Singh in Saath Nibhana Saathiya

This romantic family drama is expected on a prime time slot.

The tried-and-tested saas-bahu relationship is retold through a young and simple girl's point of view. The story revolves around two young girls -- Gopi and Rashi -- and their diverse hopes, dreams and expectations.

Soap: Mahabharat
Status: Undisclosed

The popular epic is set to make another comeback. Bobby Bedi was originally given the charge of producing the epic saga, but the deal went kaput as Bedi allegedly couldn't deliver what was promised.

The show has now been handed over to Swastika Pictures, which is currently researching the subject.

Set in Kolhapur, this show is about Swara, the only child of a family of Lavani dancers. For this family, dancing is the only source of income. 

A gifted dancer herself, Swara is passionate about her art, despite the general disapproval from society regarding the Lavani dance form.

The show is the tale of five sisters bound together by blood ties, even after they have moved on in their individual lives.

Divyanka Tripathi aka Vidya of Banoo Mein Teri Dulhan, who was missing in action for the past year, is back with this sitcom.

It has Divyanka playing Mrs Sharma who, along with her husband, comes to Mumbai from Allahabad and gets entangled in the day-to-day problems faced by Mumbaikars, ranging from water shortage to traffic snarls.

This is supposed to be 1980s actress Sonu Walia's big comeback. The plot revolves around Rakesh Bedi's character, who has repeatedly failed his Standard X exams. Walia, who is a professor, tutors him.

The show showcases the life and struggles of the lower castes in a typical Indian village.

It is the tale of Bitto, who belongs to a lower caste, but makes it big and fights the upper castes in the village.

Pallavi Gupta will play the protagonist, while Waqar Sheikh will be the antagonist. He will be playing the thakur of the village.

The show is about a girl who is mute and blindly follows what her family says. Snigdhaa Srivastava will play the female protagonist.
