Twilight leads People's Choice awards noms

The nominees for the 2011 People's Choice Awards has been announced and Vampire sequel The Twilight Saga: Eclipse tops with eight nominations.

 

The film is up for favourite movie and favourite drama, while its stars -- Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner -- landed acting nods, reports the BBC.

 

Other multiple nominees include the hit US TV show Glee and singer Katy Perry, each of whom are up for five awards.

 

The prizes will be handed out at a Los Angeles ceremony on January 5, hosted by rapper and actress Queen Latifah.

 

Toy Story 3, Alice in Wonderland, Inception and Iron Man 2 will compete against Twilight: Eclipse for the favourite movie honour.

 

Iron Man 2 star Robert Downey Jnr is also nominated for favourite actor, action star and on-screen team with Don Cheadle.

 

In the TV categories Britney Spears and Neil Patrick Harris were nominated for the TV guest star award for their appearances in Glee.

 

And in the music categories Eminem, Carrie Underwood and Lady Gaga were also multiple nominees.

 

As well as Twilight's Pattinson, other British stars to be nominated include Harry Potter star Emma Watson, up for favourite movie star under 25, and Hugh Laurie, who has two nominations for his role in medical drama House.

 

Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver will also compete in the favourite TV chef category.

Jennifer Aniston to act in her own reality TV show?

Friends star Jennifer Aniston has reportedly been offered a new reality show by the producers of The Hills and Jersey Shore and she's considering taking up the offer, it has emerged.

 

Former MTV programming president Tony DiSanto and ex-senior vice president Liz Gately reportedly approached the 41-year-old star about a small screen show that would give audiences an inside view of Aniston''s world Entertainment Wise reports.

 

'Jen's a really private person, so everyone will want to know the real her. Viewers would kill to see how she goes about her day-to-day life, what she really eats and get an insight into her love life,' News.com.au quoted a source as saying.

 

The Bounty Hunter star might actually be interested in the concept but "only on her own terms" according to the source.

 

'Tony and Liz are renowned for their skill at making reality shows like The Hills and Jersey Shore. They've been desperate to work with her but weren't too sure what she'd say. Jen is giving it some thought though,' the source added.

Emma Watson smooches Radcliffe senseless!

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was taken by surprise when a shy looking Emma Watson landed a passionate kiss on his lips during a scene for the blockbuster's upcoming instalment.

The actor, who stars as Harry, said Watson's enthusiasm during their kissing scene left him stunned.

'I was ambushed!. It was full on,' the Daily Mail quoted Radcliffe as telling Daybreak's Kate Garraway.

'I'm not complaining, there are tens of thousands of men that would cut off limbs to be in that position. It was incredible, I was not expecting that,' he added.

He added that he always thought it would be soft sensual sort of moment but suddenly there was passionate kissing happening to him.

'She is a bit of an animal, she is, she was great. But then I'm not complaining, there are tens of thousands of men that would cut off limbs to be in that position. And Rupert actually had to leave set because he was laughing at us that much. I could see him out of the corner of my eye, his eyes just watering,' Radcliffe explained.

Pink expecting her first child

Singer Alecia Beth Moore a.k.a Pink and hubby Carey Hart, are reportedly expecting their first child.

 

'She's 12 weeks along,' UsMagazine.com quoted an insider as saying.

 

'She wanted to do it between tours, when she has some time off.'

 

The source added that after the duo's 2008 separation, 'Pink was determined to make the relationship solid. Now she's really happy, and she's excited she got pregnant so fast! She'll be a brilliant mother.'
