Get your low down on what's happening in the world of Hollywood, right here!
James Cameron has confirmed that the next film from his 3-D stable will be Cleopatra, starring Angelina Jolie as the Egyptian Queen, instead of a sequel to Avatar.
The ace director is currently in discussions with production house Sony about the ambitious project, reported New York Times.
"There is a Cleopatra project in work, meaning that it's been in development at Sony. And it's a subject that's always fascinated me. So yeah, I've been talking to them about it but no decisions have been made," said Cameron.
With the Academy award winning actress set to don role of Cleopatra , the Titanic director said that the period drama is going to be "hot". "But it sounds hot, doesn't it? I mean, Angelina Jolie and Cleopatra? To me, that's like a slam dunk. Whether I wind up doing it or not, I think it's going to be a great project," he said.
Earlier, it was speculated that the 56-year-old would straight away start work on the sequel of his 3D blockbuster Avatar, which became the highest grossing film in history.
"I wouldn't say (the sequel is) inevitable because we still haven't worked out our deal with 20th Century Fox. So we're still in an ongoing negotiation on that. Because it's a big piece of business, and I'm trying to map it out as a game plan that stretches forward 10 years. And they don't like to think that long term," he said about the next chapter of alien Pandora world.
Sparks are bound to fly if reports about Jolie's real life partner, Brad Pitt being considered for the role Cleopatra's lover Mark Antony, come true.

The return of Wolverine
Image: Hugh JackmanIf you were rather led down by X-Men Origins: Wolverine, take heart, because the sequel promises to be bigger and better.
Hugh Jackman, who plays the super enhanced mutant told the web site Vulture, that Wolverine 2 to be directed by Darren Aronofsky is going to be 'kind of dark'.
'Aronofsky's going to make it fantastic,' he told the web site. 'There's going to be some meat on the bones. There will be something to think about as you leave the theatre, for sure.'
'This is Wolverine. This is not Popeye... But, you know, this is a change of pace. Chris McQuarrie, who wrote The Usual Suspects, has written the script, so that'll give you a good clue. This is, hopefully for me, going to be out of the box. It's going to be the best one, I hope. Well, I would say that, but I really do feel that, and I feel this is going to be very different.'
Shooting for the movie is set for next March in New York and Japan.
Kristen Stewart 'offered stripper job'

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has revealed that she was offered a job as a stripper while she was trying to get accustomed to her role in a new movie.
The 20-year-old star made a trip to a strip club accompanied by the director of her latest film Welcome to the Riley's.
Stewart, who plays a 16-year-old stripper in the film and practised for hours to perfect the art of dancing around a metal pole, said when she visited a real life club for research the owners offered her a job without realising she was a Hollywood star.
'I went to a strip club with the director and the costume designer and it being an odd grouping of people going into a strip club in the middle of the afternoon, I was, like, straight-up offered a job,' the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
Stewart, who is dating Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, said she was left covered in bruises while rehearsing for her role.
'I pole-danced for two weeks. I had bruises all over my legs...it hurts,' she added.
Kristen plays a prostitute and underage stripper alongside James Gandolfini in the movie.

Is Lady Gaga getting married?
Image: Lady GagaLady Gaga and her beau Luc Carl have apparently taken their "first step towards marriage".
The flamboyant singer recently rekindled her romance with Carl, and there have been numerous reports the pair is planning to tie the knot.
Although they have not legally married yet, they have staged a special commitment ceremony in Greece to show friends and family how serious they are about each other.
'It was nothing formal, they see it as their first step towards marriage,' Stuff.co.nz quoted a source as telling the British edition of Grazia magazine.
'They both dressed up and said beautiful handwritten vows. They then exchanged rings in a spiritual service and drank shots before sitting down to a lovely private dinner at a tiny restaurant. They wanted to show that they are committed to each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together.'
Gaga wore a long white Grecian-style gown for the event, but in her typical style it was given a twist. The dress was open all the way down the front with just a small gathering above her bellybutton, meaning her white knickers were fully visible. She accessorised with a chunky silver necklace, and wore her hair flowing around her shoulders. Luc opted for a white single-button jacket, teamed with zebra-print leggings.
'They are still planning to marry, but that will come later when she has the time to plan a big Italian-style wedding.'
'She says he's the one and she doesn't want to lose him ever again,' the source added.
It was recently claimed Gaga is keen to have a five-day party when she gets married, and wants Dita Von Teese to jump out of a cake and perform a burlesque routine. She also wants fireworks, and a series of lavish outfits.
However, Gaga's publicist told the website E! News that the stories about her impending marriage are "completely untrue."

Has Tom Cruise gone under the knife?
Image: Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise in Knight and DayShots that show Tom Cruise zipping down a flying fox in Prague (shirtless) have sparked speculations that the actor has gone under the knife.
The shots belatedly came to the attention of Woman's Day via the gossip sites.
The mag sought to advance the hypothesis that the action star has sought a doctor to help him surgically suck it in.
'This is all abnormal,' the Sydney Morning Herald quoted a Sydney cosmetic surgeon, Dr Michael Zacharia, in reference to odd horizontal markings across the 48-year-old's paunch.
'His belly button also has the classic downwards smile of a lipo case.'
The mag concedes it is 'also possible' that unusual muscle configuration is a result of vigorous training.
