Veterans Manoj Kumar and Oliver Stone pose for shutterbugs after receiving the lifetime achievement awards bestowed on them at the 12th Mumbai Film Festival.

Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone says he loves Indian cinema because of its flexibility to switch between comedy, romance and tragedy in a single story.

Stone said Indian cinema was 'very prolific and vital' and he had used that vitality in his 1994 film Natural Born Killers.

Asked if he would make a film in India, Stone said he would love to 'if there was a great story'.

The award ceremony hosted by Fardeen Khan and Raima Sen ended the eight-day gala affair.

Others film personalities who attended the closing ceremony include filmmakers Yash Chopra, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Sudhir Mishra, Madhur Bhandarkar, and actors Prem Chopra and Om Puri, who came with wife Nandita.

Elsewhere in Mumbai, Dev D's Mahi Gill wears a neckclace while designer Archana Kochhar looks on. The two will select jewellery pieces from the Giantti collection for the upcoming Indian Bridal Week fashion show.

Also in Mumbai, self-confessed book worm, Sonam Kapoor is spotted at the launch of Gauri Sinh's book Dog-Send: The Story of Simba.
