Shabana Azmi celebrated her 60th birthday with a bang on Saturday.
Friends, family and colleagues of the actress were seen enjoying themselves at Trilogy, a lounge in Mumbai.
The birthday bash was organised by Shabana's close pal Parna, sister-in-law Tanvi Azmi and Rock On!! heroine Shahana Goswami.
Shabana flew down from Delhi, where she had performed the play Seven, to celebrate her birthday.
Shabana's brother Baba Azmi and mother Shaukat were spotted among the arrivals.
The theme of the party was to wear a head gear, and Shabana's husband Javed Akhtar chose a golden beret.
His daughter-in-law Adhuna -- son Farhan Akhtar's wife -- decided to give it a miss.
Sticking to the theme of the evening is Amitabh Bachchan, who came with wife Jaya.
Tabu, who is Shabana's niece, looked beautiful in white. Dia Mirza also chose white for the occasion.
While the senior Bachchans chose white, Abhishek and Ash chose to come in black. Filmmaker Vipul Shah, who is directing Ash's upcoming film Action Replayy, was seeing chatting with the couple.
Rekha, as usual, looked gorgeous in a gold sari.
As for Shatrughan Sinha, he looked mighty pleased with himself. Maybe daughter Sonakshi's successful debut in the big hit film Dabangg may have something to do with it.
Shahana Goswami, Perizaad Zorabian and Amrita Rao make a pretty picture.
Whoa! Anil Kapoor and singer Sonu Nigam seem to be looking for their horses. How else can they explain these outfits?
Farah Khan and Urmila Matondkar came wearing identical berets but in different colours.
Actresses Divya Dutta and Sandhya Mrudul kept it lively and colourful in their choice of outfits.
The Ambanis -- Anil, wife Tina and sister-in-law Nita -- were some of the high profile guests at the party.
Bend It Like Beckham director Gurinder Chadda, who recently directed Shabana in It's A Wonderful Afterlife also made it to the party. As did Vidya Balan.
Others present at the party include actors Naseeruddin Shah and wife Ratna Pathak, Jeetendra and wife Shobha, musicians Shankar Mahadevan and Loy Mendonsa, and filmmakers Rakesh Roshan, Ashutosh Gowatriker and Yash Chopra.
