Julia Roberts, who recently converted to the Hindu faith, is now trying to adopt a child from India, according to sources.
The 42-year-old, who already has three children with cameraman Danny Moder -- twins Hazel and Finn, five, and Henry, three, suffered from complications during her previous pregnancies but is still keen to add to her brood.
'Julia has wanted more children for years. But her past pregnancies were fraught with complications and she was forced into an extended hospital stay right before she had her twins. After all she has been through, she realizes that adoption is perhaps the best way forward,' the Daly Express quoted a friend as saying.
'She has a special affinity with India and has contacts exploring the possibilities,' the friend added.
She is also said to have contacted an adoption agency in Bali, where she spent time filming Eat Pray Love.
'Julia and Danny love the idea of their kids having another baby in the house. And it feels so right that the next member of the family should come from a different culture,' the pal said.

The Greatest Ever Horror Film
Image: A scene from The Texas Chain Saw MassacreThe Texas Chain Saw Massacre, released in 1974, has been named the Greatest Ever Horror Film.
British movie magazine Total Film surveyed leading directors and stars from the horror world to find their favourite, with vintage shockers winning out.
The low-budget Massacre film was for many years banned as a 'video nasty' following a furore about horror films being available on video.
But by the late 1990s it was given a video certificate and went on to be shown on TV in the UK.
Directors such as John Carpenter, Wes Craven, John Landis, George Romero, Guillermo del Toro and Eli Roth were among those who cast their votes.
'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is essentially an old dark house tale fitted with mallets, meat hooks and power tools,' the Telegraph quoted Jamie Graham, deputy editor of Total Film, as saying.
'We see nothing, feel everything, the aggressive camera, brutal editing, clanging sound design and grainy, grubby visuals striking home like a sledgehammer to the skull,' Graham added.
Total Film's Greatest Horror Movies Ever Made:
1. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
2. The Exorcist
3. Psycho
4. The Shining
5. The Thing
6. Halloween
7. Alien
8. Jaws
9. Dawn Of The Dead
10. Suspiria
