Lata Mangeshkar supports Anna Hazare

Lata Mangeshkar joined the rest of Bollywood to support Anna Hazare's movement against corruption.

'namaskar,mujhe raajneeti na samajhme aati hai na hi usmein koi dilchaspi hai,parantu bhrashtachaar se humara desh mukt hona bahot zaroori hai,isiliye main anna hazaare ji ke is bhrashtachaar virodhi abhiyaan ka samarthan karti hun.... jai hind,' she tweeted.

Amitabh Bachchan has followed suit after Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter. The Big B now has a million followers on the micro-blogging site.

Meanwhile, director Karan Johar tweeted after watching an episode of Kaun Banega Crorpati. "loved his show. '(amitabh) is just outstanding in KBC!!!just caught todays episode...his presence on the show is truly legendary!!! ' he tweeted.

Rahman nominated for World Soundtrack Academy Award

After the Oscars, AR Rahman has been nominated in the best original song category for the World Soundtrack Academy awards.

He tweeted: ''If I Rise' from 127 Hours nominated for the World Soundtrack Awards in the category - 'Best original song written directly for a film'. The event will be held at Ghent, Belguim on the 22nd of October.'

Rahman, however, failed to get a nomination in the best film score and composer category.

Not A Love Story is a hit with filmi folks

After Mahesh Bhatt and Anurag Kashyap, director Madhur Bhandarkar praised Ram Gopal Varma's Not A Love Story.

He tweeted: 'Watched NALS,brilliantly shot, very edgy with superlative performance by Mahie Gill, @rgvzoomin rocks !!!'

Sonu Nigam wrote: 'Not a Lovestory by @RGVzoomin. Takes guts 2 envision Cinema like ths. Path breaking. & a very sensitive analysis of an xtrmly rare tragedy.'

Mugdha Godse also enjoyed the film. 'Watched 'Not a lovestory!' OMG, a film defi to catch for.. Brutal behaviour of mankind in matters of obsessive luv wch can lead to hell. A film leaves u cold n wth tears.. And numb, kaliyug @ its best, bravo @RGVzoomin u rock!! Good performances by all t actors..,' she updated.

As for Ram Gopal Varma, Bombay High Court has rejected Emile Jerome Matthew's plea to put a stay on the film. 'Jeromes attempt at bringing on a stay on the release of `Not a love story' has been set aside..the film is releasing dayafter the 19th,' RGV tweeted.

Bipasha has a neighbourhood scare

Bipasha Basu was in for a shock after her neighbour was brutally murdered by their domestic help.

'Life hs become so cheap n fragile! My neighbour ws murdered brutally by her servant yesterday! Am shell shocked! Wonder why human beings kill?' she tweeted.
