Get your low down on what's happening in the world of Hollywood, right here!

Padma Lakshmi was recently spotted flaunting her trim and taut body in the Bahamas -- exactly a year after giving birth to her daughter.

The 40-year-old, who hosts America's Top Chef, looked stunning as she strolled along the beach on her baby Krishna's first birthday over the weekend, reports the Daily Mail.

The former model stirred up a treat by showing off her rock hard abs in an ethnic print string bikini with black satin bows at the side.

Her long dark hair hung casually down her back and she wore large sunglasses to keep the glare from the Caribbean sky out of her eyes.

Shakira has been chosen as the Artist of The Year 2011 by Harvard University.

The singer will be presented a trophy at the annual Cultural Rhythms award ceremony at the prestigious college on Saturday.

"The students and faculty of the Harvard Foundation are honored to present multiplatinum artist Shakira with the 2011 Artist of the Year award," Contactmusic quoted the statement from S Allen Counter, director of the Harvard Foundation, as reading.

"Her contributions to music and distinguished history of creativity have been applauded by people throughout the world, and she is greatly admired worldwide for her humanitarian efforts through her Barefoot Foundation."

Perfect role model?

Miley Cyrus, who has been named as the worst celebrity influence for the past two consecutive years, received the first-ever Global Action Youth Leadership Award for the positive impact she has on young people's attitudes at a gala in Los Angeles by her idol Hilary Duff.

'I got to tell you that I never thought I would get an award from Hilary Duff. This is like a dream come true to me. She inspired me,' the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

'I want kids to do something they love. Not something that seems like a chore because someone tells them that's the right thing to do or what their parents want or what's important to people around them, but what's in their heart,' she said.

The Hannah Montana star recently admitted while she is happy to be seen as a role model for younger girls, she doesn't want her fans to idolize her.

'If you look at me as a role model I agree with it. If you look at me as an idol, I don't agree. An idol for me is someone that you want to replicate. You want to be them,' the star said.

'I don't wish that on anyone, to lose what they have personally, because that's when your spark goes,' she added.

Lady Gaga brought traffic to a standstill in New York on Monday as she filmed for her HBO concert special of 'Monster Ball Tour' at Madison Square Garden.

Clad in fishnets and black underwear (despite the 30-degree weather) and accessorized with a leather jacket, a white bee hive and black platforms without a heel, the 'Born This Way' singer attracted a huge crowd of Little Monsters, reports the New York Daily News.

Police were called in to control the singer's devotees as she stopped by Rivington Deli on the Lower East Side with her father, Joe, according to Hollyscoop.com.

"What a dream come true! Filming my HBO special of the Monster ball today, and just finished editing Born This Way video! Announcement Soon! X," she tweeted on Monday.

Sly, the painter

Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone may be known for his action movies, but a gallery in St Moritz is showing his other side -- the artist.

At the opening of his first exhibition at Galerie Gmurzynska in St Moritz, the Rambo and Rocky action star was overheard saying he believes himself to be a better painter than actor, reports the New York Post.

'If you feel a passion for something, you can move mountains,' he said of his talents.

Galerie Gmurzynska is showing 30 of Stallone's abstract works painted over the past 35 years, and nearly all of the works in the show have sold for prices ranging from 50,000 dollars to 150,000 dollars.

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, who has chopped off his famous locks for a more 'mature look,' says he's donating his hair to a charity for auction.

The 'Baby' hitmaker is known for his carefully preened hairstyle but he shocked fans by having a trim on Monday, reports Contactmusic.

He immediately showed off his new image by recording a new music video with Rascal Flatts.

The band's Jay DeMarcus posted a photo of Bieber and himself on Twitter.com, showing the singer's new hairdo.

And the star is using his image overhaul to raise cash for charity.

'Yeah so it's true... I got a little haircut... I like it... and we are giving all the hair cut to CHARITY to auction. Details coming soon,' Bieber wrote on his Twitter page.
