Dabangg 2 all set to clash with Dhoom 3

Yash Raj Films had set the release date of the third installment of their Dhoom series for December 2012. The movie will see Aamir Khan in a negative role along with Abhishek Bachchan, Katirna Kaif and Uday Chopra.

Now, Arbaaz Khan -- director and producer of Dabangg 2 -- has tweeted that his film will release in December 2012 too.

He says "Dabangg 2 starts March 2012 and releases on 21 Dec 2012 !!!"

It'll be interesting to see good friends, Aamir and Salman Khan, fight it out at the box office.

The makers of  Ra.One  -- Eros International Media and Red Chillies -- have announced brand tie-ups worth Rs 52 crore to promote their film through different brand tie-ups. The film has been subsidized considerably through these tie-ups

Shah Rukh Khan is going all out to promote his film, holding numerous press conferences, and appearing on reality shows like India's Got TalentJust DanceSa Re Ga Ma Lil Champs and a special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

As a result, the film is going to through promotional overdrive. But the omnipresent Shah Rukh justified himself. 
'Ppl talk of my mkting etc but I nevr tell anyone to watch a film...I tell them to come have an emotional experience...taste a part of me,' he tweeted.

Nevertheless, Ra.One co-star Shahana Goswami believes that Shah Rukh is addictive and deserves more love. 'Inching closer to the release of ra.one. Can't wait to see how every1 reacts to it! So much sweat n blood gone into it.. It has to b great! More I see @iamsrk more I want to see him. He's addictive! He never fails to excite u with something new. He deserves all the love n more!' she wrote.

Bollywood celebrates Karva Chauth

Some of the Bollywood's leading ladies fasted for the long life of their husbands on Karva Chauth. One of them was Eesha Koppikhar, who tweeted a picture of herself performing the rituals (left).

It was Tisca Chopra's first time. 'Actually fasting's been easy today.. Travelling keeps one distracted from looking at the fridge optimistically.. First Karva Chauth with mom-in-law this time, on the terrace looking at the moon..felt like a Karan Johar song will start any moment :-)' she wrote.

Juhi Chawla was also fasting. 'No more foodie tweets friends .. today is karva chauth .... Fasting,' she tweeted.

Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fasted as well. Amitabh Bachchan, who was in Sydney, wished that they could see the moon soon and break their fast early. 'A most glorious Moon outside my window .. wish that could be taken as the 'sighting' for Karva Chauth for the ladies at home!!' he tweeted.

Amitabh Bachchan gets his fourth doctorate

After finishing the shoot for his first Hollywood film The Great GatsbyAmitabh Bachchan went to Queensland University where he was felicitated with an honourary doctorate.

'The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) honors me with a Doctorate on the 20th of October in Brisbane .. deep gratitude !! Yes after I finish the shoot for 'The Great Gatsby', over to Brisbane for the Honorary Doctorate from the Queensland University,' he tweeted.

He updated about his rehearsals with Leonardo Di Caprio: 'Long meticulous rehearsals with Leonardo di Caprio, Tobey Maguire and Joel Egerton, for a small scene.. incredible detailing !!'
