Bollywood pays tribute to Top Gun director Tony Scott

Here's what your favourite Bollywood celebrities are tweeting.

Stars paid tribute to British director Tony Scott, who allegedly committed suicide on Sunday. He was 68.

Shocked by the news, actress Minissha Lamba tweeted: 'Devastated to hear of Tony Scott passing away! what a filmmaker!! he showed us that substance can be stylish too. can't imagine that there won't be another film from him again! truly a tragedy for audiences worldwide! RIP Mr.Scott... so many of my fav scenes that i know verbatim from his films coz i have seen them over n over again..his use of background score... on d surface of it-slick..but essentially his stories were complex relationships between his protagonists that were subtly layered within the framework of his blockbuster endeavors..crimson tide, spy game, top gun, true romance, deja vu being among my fav film of all.'

Karan Johar ‏tweeted: 'RIP TONY SCOTT....your true romance with cinema will live on forever.'

Director Sujoy Ghosh wrote: 'of all Tony Scott films, CRIMSON TIDE remains my favorite.. that dialog is etched on heart .. 'failure is not an option'. Tony Scott was perhaps the first person to make a sequel better than the first part. Brest directed the first part. how much I learnt from watching films of TONY SCOTT. no body blended style and pace better.'

Jaaved Jaaferi ‏tweeted: 'RIP Tony Scott. You were a Top Gun  Cinema has lost a trend setter.'

Stars were in a festive mood on Eid. While some enjoyed the cuisine, some turned to Twitter to wish their fans.

Shah Rukh Khan spent the day in solitude. 'All alone on Eıd...on a thın wındıng road. Nowhere and everywhere. Just gave myself a hug after a long tıme. Wıll celebrate wıth happy wınds,' tweeted.

Amrita Arora celebrated with family and friends. 'Eid Mubarak guys!!Love n Happiness always...Awsome spread of sweets n food 2day at my house....Looking forward to day wit family n friends!' she wrote.

Jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali shared a picture (above) of her with her husband DJ Aqeel, brother Zayed Khan and his wife Mallika and tweeted: 'We are family. Eid Mubarak.' 

Preity Zinta celebrated Eid at Salman Khan's place. 'Back from a wonderful Eid dinner at the Khan residence. Lots of yummy food, saviya, fun n laughter.Salman played the perfect host :-) ting !' she wrote.

Actor Angad Bedi tweeted: 'Eid at tigers house!@BeingSalmanKhan tiger tiger burning bright! Love uuuuuu'

Gul Panag has started dubbing for Ab Tak Chappan 2. 'Finally get to escape the desk job and get a breather from monotony as dub for Ab Tak Chappan 2 starts today,' she updated.

Sunny Leone is taking Hindi lessons and watching Hindi movies to improve her dancing skills. 'It's Monday and another week begins. This week I'm adding in Hindi lessons and watching a Hindi/Bollywood movies on top of my dance classes' she wrote.

Meanwhile, Amy Jackson has started shooting for Shankar's bilingual film. 'Having a seriously hectic week shooting for 'I' but it's looking fabuloussss! You're going to love it,' she tweeted.

After more than a decade, choreographer Shiamak Davar returned to singing with his new album, Shabop!.

Shaimak shared the official video on Twitter. 

The album features musicians like Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Shweta Pandit, DJ Aqeel and music director Zubin Balaporia.

His former albums, Mohabbat Kar Le and Dil Chahe were huge hits in the 1990s.
