Shekhar Kapur turns 67!

Renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur turns 67 today and Bollywood stars wished him on Twitter.

Shabana Azmi: 'Happy birthday Shekhar Kapur. Khush raho salamat raho apni talaash jaari rakho kyunki jawab toh koi hain nahi sawal apne aap mein jawab hai.'

Shekhar Kapur then thanked everyone: 'Thank u all for ur incredible warm wonderful inspiring birthday wishes tht made my smile grow broader n broader :) So much more 2 create tho. I belong 2 that source, that intelligence, that consciousness that is d essence of all of creation. I am that, and beyond that I am not. Love.'

The filmmaker is currently working on his ambitious project Paani, starring Hrithik Roshan.

Priyanka Chopra heads to Morocco

Priyanka Chopra will spend two days in Morocco for the ongoing 12th International Film Festival of Marrakech. Her films Barfi! and Don will be screened at the festival.

'Marrakech bound!!! Looking forward.. Heard so many great things lately.. Yay team #barfi and team #Don !! Can't wait to see barfi with the team and everyone elsein morocco!' she tweeted.

Meanwhile, Preity Zinta is headed to Indonesia for a concert. 'Really excited about coming to Jakarta for the #TemptationReloded Show ! Amitabh Bachchan is in Florence to attend the 12th River to River Florence Indian Film Festival.  'Tomorrow to Florence, Italy, River to River Film Festival for my retrospective ... Italy ? Amitabh Bachchan pays tribute to Dave Brubeck

Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to jazz pianist Dave Brubeck, who died of heart failure on December 5, a day short of his 92nd birthday.

'Dave Brubeck passes away ! RIP .. A long association of complete and pure jazz, of the times in College .. buried !' Bachchan tweeted.

A birthday party had been planned for the jazz aficionado with family and famous guests. It has now been recast as a memorial tribute.
