When TV actors married their co-stars

Uttaran couple Rashmi and Nandish Sandhu fell in love with each other on the sets of their television show, and tied the knot recently on February 12, as per Hindu traditions. The wedding was held in Nandish's hometown in Dholpur, Rajasthan.

Legally, however, the couple had gotten secretly married last February, under different names in Ghaziabad.

The love was inevitable. After all, the couple spent long hours with each other shooting on the sets of Uttaran. Nandish was always there to give Rashmi a helping hand whenever she needed it.
Later, he proposed in a very romantic way too. He booked a yacht and decorated it with lights and flowers. Then he blind-folded her, and brought her to the venue. After reaching the yacht, they set sail.

Anisha Kapoor and Mahesh Shetty

Mahesh Shetty, who is currently playing Sid in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, married his longtime girlfriend Anisha last November.
 
The two fell in love on the sets of their show, Ghar Ek Sapna.
 
Anisha is also working in Zee TV's Sanskaar Laxmi.

Mouli Ganguly and Mazhar Sayyed

After a courtship of seven years, which began on the sets of Ekta Kapoor's Kaahin Kissi Roz, Mouli Ganguly tied the knot with her co-actor Mazhar Sayyed in 2010.
 
It was a registered marriage for the couple, with only a few family and friends attending.

Mouli is currently working in Ekta Kapoor's serial Kya Hua Tera Vaada on Sony Entertainment Television.
 
Mazhar recently acted in the television soap Rakt Sambandh, and played a role in the recent film, Jodi Breakers.

Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Vashisht

Raqesh and Ridhi first came together in the Yash Raj Films show Seven but they began seeing each other much later.
 
Love struck while they were shooting for their show Maryada on Star Plus.
 
The couple got married last year. Raqesh calls Ridhi his lady luck, as he feels life has changed for the better after Ridhi became a part of it. 

Raquesh, who has acted in films like Kuch Dil Nay Kahaa, Koi Meri Dil Mein Hai and Tum Bin, will be playing an important role in Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine.

Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta

When the two first met on the sets of Pyaar Ke Do Naam...Ek Radha Ek Shyaam, Barkha thought Indraneil was a snob while he didn't care for her opinion at all.

It was only after the show ended that they realised their love for each other.
 
After two years of courtship, the couple tied the knot. They have a daughter called Meira.

Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary

The couple played Ram and Sita in the mythological show Ramayan. This was followed by the reality show Pati, Patni Aur Woh, where Gurmeet went down on his knees and proposed marriage to Debina.
 
Love, incidentally, had happened even before Ramayan after they met in an event.

Gurmeet and Debina got married last February.

Gauri Pradhan and Hiten Tejwani

Hiten first met Gauri during an ad campaign for Breeze.
 
Later, they acted in soaps like Kutumb and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The couple fell in love, and got married in Pune in 2004. They have twins called Nevaan and Katya.

Hiten is currently playing the role of Manav on Pavitra Rishta after he replaced Sushant Singh Rajput.

Shweta Kawatra and Manav Gohil

Manav and Shweta met on the sets of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki; they became friends on the sets of Kkusum.
 
Soon, they started spending a lot of time together.
 
The story goes that Manav developed a crush on her, which made her feel awkward. It reached a stage when she could not take it anymore and they stopped talking to each other.

But soon after that, she started missing him.
 
Things fell into place, and they started dating each other. After three and a half years of courtship, they got married.

Manav is all set to produce a cookery TV show in the US for which he is seeking a broadcast partner there.
 
The couple is expecting their first child in May.

Gurdeep Kohli and Arjun Punj

Gurdeep and Arjun meet on the sets of Sanjeevani.
 
After becoming close friends, they fell in love and got married.

Gurdeep was quoted in an interview as saying: 'Arjun always says that I was after him, which is true. I think he was too shy to make the first move, so I did.'
 
The couple have a daughter.

Ram Kapoor and Gautami Gadgil fell in love on the sets of Ghar Ek Mandir.
 
They got married soon after, and have a daughter and son now.
 
Ram is currently seen on the popular show Bade Acche Lagte Hain, and films like Karthik Calling Karthik, Udaan and Ek Mein Aur Ekk Tu.

Gauri and Yash Tonk

The couple fell in love on the sets of Kahiin Kissi Roz, where Gauri was playing Yash's sister-in-law.
 
They got married within a month of knowing each other.

Today, they have an eight-year-old daughter Pari.

Yash tried his luck in the movies but unfortunately, he didn't get too far.

Sai Deodhar and Shakti Anand

After two years of working together in Saara Aakash, they became friends.

Sai was already engaged to a US-based man. She was to continue her studies abroad but destiny had other plans.

Shakti proposed to Sai when she was in Lucknow shooting for a show. Within a month, they got married.

Daljeet Kaur and Shaleen Bhanot

Daljeet and Shaleen met on the sets of the serial Kulvadhu.
 
After dating for three years, the couple tied the knot in 2009.
 
Their wedding was a grand affair and took place in Shaleen's hometown Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Daljeet is currently working in Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon while Shaleen is in the show, Sajda: Tere Pyar Mein.
