Johnny Depp's New Girl: Just Who Is Amber Heard?

It was barely two days ago when the news of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis' split surfaced.

While reports suggest that Depp started seeing other women even as his 14-year-old relationship with the French actress/model was crumbling, rumours indicate that the Hollywood star has grown rather fond of Amber Heard, a 26-year-old starlet who starred opposite him in The Rum Diary.

Born in Austin, Texas, the blonde beauty did some modelling work and bit roles in several Hollywood films like Zombieland and Pineapple Express before landing a role in Johnny Depp-starrer The Rum Diary in 2011.

Depp is said to have taken to the actress instantly.

Heard apparently grew around guns and owns a .357 Magnum. She came out of the closet in 2010 when she announced that she was dating Tasya van Ree, a Hawaiian artist and photographer.

She said she couldn't be bothered with labels and that she'd had successful relationships with men in the past.  

The actress is climbing up the Hollywood ladder with a role in 2013 thriller Paranoia also starring heavyweights like Gary Oldman, Harrison Ford, and Liam Hemsworth.

Born and raised in a Catholic family, the actress turned Atheist after the death of a close friend.

The sexy starlet has reportedly become a regular on the New Mexico set of Depp's new film The Lone Ranger.

The actor also bought his new flame a horse so they could go riding together.
