Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth took some time off from the shooting for his film Kochadaiyaan to catch up on director Balaji Sakthivel's Tamil film Vazhakku Enn 18/9, which received excellent reviews when it released on May 4.

The special screening was held at Four Frames theatre in Chennai, on Saturday, May 26.

Rajini seemed quite impressed with the performances of first-time actors, especially Muthuraman, who played a corrupt cop.

The cast was at a loss of words when the Superstar started prasing them.

Rajini told producer Lingusamy that the film was a bold effort, and a masterpiece in Tamil cinema. 

Vazhakku Enn 18/9 is a crime thriller starring Mithun Murali, Sri, Urmila Mahanta, Manisha Yadav and Muthuraman.
