After the success of Second Show and Ustad Hotel, actor Dulquer Salmaan, son of Mammootty is ready with his next, Theevram.

Directed by Roopesh Peethambaran and produced by V C Ismail, the film will hit the theatres tomorrow, November 16.

"This one is completely different from my earlier films and it was the screenplay that attracted me to this project," says Dulquer.

Roopesh, a first time director, acted as the younger version of Mohanlal in the yesteryears hit Sphadikam.

"That happened just by chance as director Bhadran was a family friend. I have always been fascinated to stay behind the camera and I am an avid movie buff," Roopesh says.

"When I went to Dulquer with the script of Theevram, I didn't know him on a personal level and actually I was not even thinking about making the film so soon.

"After reading the script, Dulquer asked me when we could start the project and I said all I need is a month to start the shooting. This film is the result of that confidence," smiles Roopesh.

"We tend to limit our protests against injustice around us to statements that we make in our limited circles. This is an outburst of a youngster, which has been narrated in a rather different pattern," he adds.

"Maya is bubbly and bold. Acting is not an easy job and I am taking up this stint in movies in a dedicated manner. Everyone on the sets has been so friendly and helpful," says Shikha, who was brought up in Dubai.
