Katrina: Working with SRK was intimidating

The king of romance Shah Rukh Khan always has some love tips up his sleeve.

So during a promotional event of his forthcoming film Jab Tak Hai Jaan in Mumbai, SRK shared a few: "A relationship is between two people and is a very personal experience. When you are in love, you have to be yourself. We lose out on love when we start looking at bigger things. When you're in love, simple things matter, like listening. I think girls know better how to love than men."

The actor, who looked refreshed and relaxed at the press conference -- quite different from the haggard look he had post-Ra.One -- claimed he loved with the idea of on-screen romance.

"I like the whole idea of love stories, and the belief of love in the story ideas. I believe in every scene that I do. I think I can understand and emote love," he added.

SRK: If you want to do a romantic film, it has to be with Yash Chopra

Shah Rukh Khan's costar in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Anushka Sharma, skipped the press conference while Katrina Kaif joined via videoconference. Katrina is currently in Chicago, shooting for Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 3.

As most of the questions were directed to SRK, Katrina appeared bored and started sketching.

SRK later insisted that she show what she was sketching, and she sportingly did. It was a funny stick figure sketch of 'what SRL looked like in the song, 'Challa.'

Katrina: I don't think Yash Chopra should retire

Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be Yash Chopra's last film as director.

Shah Rukh claimed that Chopra was the undisputed king of romantic films. "If you want to do a romantic film, it has to be with Yash Chopra. He has an amazing sense of cinema and humour," he said.

"I don't think Yash Chopra should retire," Katrina joined in. "He has an amazing sense of emotion and passion for cinema. I don't think anyone can match him up to him.

"He always knew when I was nervous, and would start joking to lighten the mood. He is so perceptive," she said.

Katrina: I always wanted to work with Shah Rukh Khan

"I have spent eight years in the industry and have always wanted to work with Shah Rukh," Katrina said. "We would meet at award functions and talk about it but I never thought we would actually do a film together. That was my dream, and I'm happy we did."

"Initially, it was very intimidating to work with SRK," she added. "I had to connect with him as an actor. But after a few days of shooting, we became comfortable. I realised he cares as much for his co-star's scenes as his own. He performs with the same intensity."

The music has been scored by A R Rahman with lyrics from Gulzar.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan will release on November 13.
