In director Siddique's Ladies & Gentleman, that releases today (April 12), Mohanlal will have four beautiful heroines and a youth for company.

Meera Jasmine, Padmapriya, Mamta Mohandas and Mithra Kurian are the heroines, with yesteryear heroine Jayabharati's son Krish J Sathar making his debut as an actor.

Siddique and Mohanlal are teaming up again two decades after the hit film, Vietnam Colony.

Siddique's last Malayalam film, Bodyguard, was a flop, but the Tamil version, Kavalan, did good business. The Hindi version, Bodyguard, starring Salman Khan became one of the highest grossing films of recent years.

In Ladies & Gentleman, the story is about the conflict between the old and new generations. The new generation is mostly too ambitious and easily let down by setbacks. The older generation was more mature at that age," says Siddique.

Mohanlal plays Chandrabose, a mysterious man living a carefree life. He becomes friendly with a young techie named Sarath (Krish J Sathar) and that leads him to four women, Jyothi (Padmapriya), Anu (Mamta Mohandas), Achu (Meera Jasmine) and Chinnu (Mithra Kurian).

The viewers will have a feeling after the film ends that even they should have someone like Chandrabose in their lives. I have made it as a feel good entertainer and the pattern of narration is not similar to my earlier films," explains Siddique.

Krish, who has engineering and management degrees, says that he is aware about expectations of him as he is the son of actors Sathar and Jayabharathi.

"In a way it is an advantage, but there is so much pressure as well. I hope that the viewers will accept me just like any other newcomer for the time being," he smiles.

Ladies & Gentleman is produced by Ashirwad Cinemas. The cinematographer is Satheesh Kurup and the music director is Ratheesh Vegha.
