'Chennai Express entertains only when SRK makes you laugh'

Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express is a huge hit at the box office but critics didn't seem to like it as much.

So what did you think of the film?

We'd asked you to send in your reviews of Chennai Express. We present some of them here:

Naveen Bhagiya, Ahmedabad

I didn't think that after giving us so many fine performances and so many films, Shah Rukh Khan will actually do a typical Rohit Shetty comedy flick. That was a shock to me.

The film entertains you only when SRK makes you laugh. Otherwise, it's a Tamil film with only around 30-40 percent Hindi dialogues. The makers have not even bothered to keep subtitles, so that the audience can understand the dialogues.

The story is okay, but music is bad. Even for its duration of two hours and 16 minutes, you feel lost and wait for the film to get over.

Overall, Rohit Shetty has wasted the talents of SRK and Deepika Padukone, who speaks weirdly and makes you laugh only in the scene when she is dreaming at night.

My advice to you is that watch Chennai Express only if you have nothing to do.

Chennai Express is a wholesome entertainer.

SRK and DP have done a great job.

Even though I was sick, I was completely entertained with the film's humour.

Enjoyed watching SRKs comic performance, one to remember for a long time to come.

I
don't know why rediff's Raja Sen gave the film one star.

The film is good.

After a long time, such a movie has come in, with no bad item songs.

The critics must appreciate the good things of this movie and encourage such films so that we see them more often.

Chennai Express is shot at wonderful locations but the story is not good.

Overall, an okay film, and can be watched only once.
