Here's how Pistah song became a sensation

According to actor Nivin Pauly, the song Pistah from his recent release Neram, that has become all the rage, originated quite by chance.

"Sabareesh Varma, the singer, is a hardcore fan of Jagathy Sreekumar. When music director Rajesh Murugesan came up with a tune, he added these lyrics from the legendary actor's lines from the 1983 hit Kinnaram.  

"We then decided to make a wacky video mixing some footage from the film and also some shots from the location. Alphonse Putharen, the director, who also happens to be the editor of the film, has made a superb music album," says Nivin.

Fahadh Faasil is currently shooting for debutant director A V Sasidharan's Olipporu, in which he is playing a blogger who becomes friends with a few other blog writers.

The story is based on the tragic life of a young poet and blogger named Naveen George aka Jonavan.

According to poet P N Gopikrishnan, who is the scenarist of Olipporu, "I knew him as a fellow blog writer and we shared a great friendship. But it was when he died in an accident that I realised that none of my friends or I had much knowledge about his life beyond the internet. This prompted me to write this script."

The recently released Hotel California, scripted by Anoop Menon and directed by Aji John, snide remarks have been made about some people that social networking sites have identified as superstar Mammootty and popular hero Dileep.

There is a Commissioner of Police called Bharat Chandran IPS and the cop is a comical figure!

But the main attack is against everyone who hated last year's Trivandrum Lodge, which was regarded as way too 'bold', with lots of disturbing dialogues, and was scripted by Anoop Menon. In Hotel California, there are several scenes and dialogues justifying the film.

No wonder a prominent filmmaker was overheard recently saying that "Anoop is on a path of self-destruction."
