Swedish Greek actress Elli Avram has been evicted from Bigg Boss. The gorgeous actress had always maintained a neutral stand and never encouraged fights and arguments among the housemates.

“I am like the way I am in the Bigg Boss house,” Elli says.

“Last week, a Vodafone caller had said that I wasn’t giving any content (to the show), that I should fight or give some footage. So I understood I was my turn to get evicted,” Elli says with a laugh.

'I don't regret being part of the house'

Despite her Swedish background, Elli embraced the Indian culture and would wear traditional attire in the house.

Evicted housemate Ratan Rajput had gifted a sari that Elli had liked during Diwali.

“I had a gut feeling that I would be evicted so I wore a sari which was sent by Ratan during Diwali on eviction day. I t was a big thing to receive a sari from her during Diwali “Says Ellie.

Talking about her experience she says “I miss the music that they would play in the morning, and our dance. I am also missing Sangram, Andy, Tanisha and Armanji’s masala tea,” she says.

“It was an awesome experience and I don’t regret being part of the house. I wish I could have stayed longer,” says Ellie.

'Sangram and Andy were my best friends in the house'

Her innocence and broken Hindi made her the highlight of the season.

“Sangram and Andy were my best friends in the house. But I would like to stay in touch with all the housemates,” she says.

“Sangram worked on my diction and encouraged me to learn Hindi songs. We cracked jokes, and did funny things with Andy. He also taught me dance steps on Bollywood songs,” she adds.

'I will always be grateful to Salman Khan'

Host Salman Khan’s soft corner for the actress was evident from the first episode itself.

When asked to comment on that, Ellie says, “I will always be grateful to him. Being a superstar, he happily promoted my film Mickey Virus during the show.

“He’s a humble and understanding man. Plus, he sensed that I was alone so he helped me be comfortable in the house,” she says.

Elli’s debut Hindi film Mickey Virus was launched while she was in the house, and she says, “I have heard that people have liked my film and appreciated my role. I haven’t read the movie reviews yet. I am curious to watch my film but I am so tied up with interviews after coming out of the house.”

Salman is known to give breaks to the newcomers. Has she been offered anything? “No, we haven’t spoken about it,” Elli says. “He wished me luck while I was shooting the episode with him. I am hopeful he will give me support because I need to establish myself in the industry.”

'Katrina Kaif is my idol'

Salman had once compared her to Katrina Kaif. What does she have to say to that?

“It was flattering because Katrina is my idol,” Elli says. “I like many actresses like Madhuri Dixit, Kajol and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Deepika Padukone is awesome, and getting better with every film. The reason I look up to Katina is because she has come from outside India and has made a name for herself. I have come from outside also. I will be happy if I can achieve at least 50 percent of what she has achieved.”

Does she think visibility on Bigg Boss will help her to get more work? “Hope so. I have a few meetings, so let’s see,” she smiles.
