Tamannaah

Star actress from down south, the pint-sized Tamannaah made her Bollywood splash opposite Devgn in Sajid Khan's Himmatwala.

The film may have come a cropper but Tamannaah won many hearts with her peaches-and-cream complexion and a promising performance.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha made for a great costar for Devgn as the Punjabi kudi in Ashwini Dhir's 2012 action comedy Son of Sardaar.

Yes, despite the age difference.

Asin

Another beauty from South films, Asin made her presence felt in Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan as Ajay Devgn's screen love.

Their other film though -- London Dreams -- wasn't as lucky at the box office.

Kangna Ranaut

Kangna Ranaut, who has won hearts and accolades with a personal renaissance of sorts (also a brilliant film called Queen), was once part of an ensemble comedy Rascals.

And while close friends Devgn and Sanjay Dutt were in the thick of things in this one, Kangna delivered a smashing turn, even if it was by way of her supremely glamorous avatar.

But they won more hearts as a jodi in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.

Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal Aggarwal remained suitably demure and umremarkable as fiery cop Bajirao Singham's lady love in her Bollywood debut.

The pair seemed to work as the film went on to rake in the big bucks at the box office.

Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu scorched the screen with her sultry turn in yet another Ajay Devgn-Sanjay Dutt starrer comedy titled All The Best.

She has also worked with Devgn in Akrosh and Shikhar.

Ayesha Takia

One of Rohit Shetty's earlier films, the thriller-comedy Sunday starred his favourtie leading man and the bubbly Ayesha Takia.

Devgn's brooding intensity was suitably complemented by Takia's youthful innocence.

Manisha Koirala

Vivek Oberoi may have walked away with maximum accolades for Ram Gopal Varma's Company, but Manisha Koirala's turn as the don's moll wasn't entirely unnoticed.

An all-round great performance from her and her screen love Devgn.

They have starred in quite a few films together -- Kachche Dhaage, Lajja, Hindustan Ki Kasam, Dhanwan and Mehbooba.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Arguably the most unlikely screen jodi, Ash's chemistry with her screen husband Vanraj (played by Devgn) was fascinating to watchin Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

A truly well-written character.

They were also seen together in Rituparno Ghosh's drama, Raincoat.

Kajol

Exactly a decade after their memorable romantic comedy Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha released, Devgn's directorial debut I Me Aur Hum came out, costarring his real life wife Kajol.

The film didn't really work at the box office but it was nostalgic to watch the otherwise reclusive couple together on screen.

The husband-wife team have done as many as 10 films together, including Haal-e-Dil, Raju Chacha, Dil Kya Kare, Ishq, Gundaraj and Hulchul.

Neha Dhupia

Harry Baweja's 2003 action thriller Qayamat may have been marred with flawed story and direction but former Miss India and then newcomer Neha Dhupia more than made up for that shortcoming with this saucy avatar.

Urmila Matondkar

Inspired fro Richard Gere and Edward Norton starrer Primal Fear, Anees Bazmee's Deewangee starred Ajay Devgn as the obsessive lover of Urmila's star singer Sargam in the film.

They have also worked together in films like Bhoot and Lajja.

Sonali Bendre

Sonali Bendre's composed demeanour as Nisha in Major Saab was memorably complemented by Devgn's boisterous Virendra Pratap Singh, a rich kid who is enlisted in the army by his father in order to straighten him up a bit.

But their chemistry was best in Mahesh Bhatt's Zakhm, a film for which Devgn won his first National Award.

Tabu

Replacing the late Divya Bharti as the leading lady in 1994 action thriller Vijapath, Tabu does a fine job as the leading lady opposite Ajay Devgn.

They have also been seen together in films like Thakshak and Haqeeqat.

Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor serves as Ajay Devgn's lady love in their 1994 actioner Suhaag.

Incidentally, it was exactly 20 years ago, when he worked with his Singham Returns heroines's elder sister.

Karisma and Ajay have also worked in films like Jigar and Shaktimaan.

Madhoo Shah

Phool Aur Kaante, released in 1991, marked the acting debuts of Ajay Devgn and Madhoo Shah.

Their youthful energy and chemistry was fun to watch on screen.
