'I have been in the industry for 30 years and worked with Shah Rukh Khan so many times. But I got to know only now that his real name is Abdul Rehman!'

Anupam Kher gets ready for his new show, Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai.

Anupam Kher will tell the untold stories of stars -- like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra, Yuvraj Singh and many others -- in his new television show called Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, through his conversations with them.

“All the celebrity guests, who have come on the show were interesting and everyone had a story,” Kher told the media in a promotional event for his show.

“None of my guests asked me for a brief. That speaks of their trust in me. I don’t think I have asked them any uncomfortable questions,” he adds.

This show is an extension of Anupam’s renowned autobiographical play, Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, which is about his failures, setbacks and how he later laughs at them. The play has been staged for the last 10 years, and has been inspiring to many.

“Success for me is one dimensional while failure has many dimensions to it. I have laughed at my own failures,” he says.

Talking about his Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai moment, Kher says, “It happened when I was out of Saraansh just 10 days before the film went on the floors. I packed my bags and landed up at Mahesh Bhatt's place to fight with him. Things changed after that. I did the film which changed my life."

'The whole idea of the show is to inspire the country by telling them these stories'

"Shah Rukh Khan's rise from being a TV actor in Fauji to becoming the second richest actor in the world is one of the most inspirational stories,” he says.

"I have been in the industry for 30 years and worked with Shah Rukh so many times. But I got to know only now that his real name is Abdul Rehman!”

Younger actors like Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra will be on the show as they are inspirational as well.

“Today’s children may come as in irreverent but they have a mind. So I wanted the younger generation to talk about life as well because they are still making mistakes and that’s part of the life. And all of them gave some amazing answers,” Kher says.

“The whole idea of the show is to inspire the country by telling them these stories. Even if 10 percent get inspired, the show will serve its purpose, apart from getting entertained,” he says.

This is not Kher’s first TV outing. He has been a part of shows like Say Na Something to Anupam Uncle and Sawaal Dus Crore Ka.

'Narendra Modi has assured me that he will come for our next season'

Anupam wants to include people from different walks of life on his show. The first season will feature 12 episodes, and plans are already on for Season 2.

"I have spoken to Narayan Murthy (of Infosys). I also want our former president APJ Abdul Kalam and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. We tried to get Amitabh Bachchan in this season but due to his unavailability, he may appear next season,” he says.

Kher added that he would like to have Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his show.

Anupam Kher’s wife and BJP candidate Kirron Kher won the recent Lok Sabha elections from Chandigarh.

“I wanted to have Narendraji on this season and he had agreed. But he became the Prime Minister and got busy with his new role. He has assured me that he will definitely come for our next season. When he learnt of the show’s name, he said it should be called Saab Kucch Ho Sakta Hai instead."

The actor claims he has no immediate plans of entering politics but may think about it during the country's next general elections.

“I wanted to become the Prime Minister of the country a few years back but now I have become realistic!” he exclaims.

The actor is also looking forward to his movies, Singham Returns, Ikkis Topon Ki Salami, Daawat-e-Ishq' and Shaukeen.
