The Top 10 Most TOXIC Superheroes

These superheroes can be quite dangerous for online surfers!

Obviously, not always.

McAfee released its second annual 2014 Most Toxic Superheroes list, with Superman coming in at top spot with a score of 16.5%.

The research is based on which superheroes are kryptonite on the web and result in bad links, including viruses, malware and sites laden with malicious software designed to steal passwords and personal information.

With excitement building for the upcoming Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice film, it’s no surprise that these superheroes top the list.

Here's looking at the other superheroes, who can be quite villainous for online surfers.

Thor came a close second with 16.35%.

Wonder Woman and Aquaman tied at third place with 15.70%.

Both the superheroes will be seen in Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and will be played by Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa respectively.

Wolverine has acquired much more success ever since Hugh Jackman took its onscreen avatar to greater heights. It stands at 15.10 %.

One of the most successful movie superheroes, Spiderman comes as 14.70%.

While we wait for Ben Affleck's Batman to arrive -- and of course, we're rooting for him -- the superhero comes at sixth place with 14.20%.

Meanwhile, here are 10 Indian Actors who would make a GREAT Batman!

The gorgeous Scarlett Johansson made the Black Widow sexy in Iron Man and The Avengers. She stands at seventh place with 13.85%.

Captain America arrives at eighth place with 13.50%.

Ryan Renolds' Green Lantern may not have brought in good reviews but it's still very dangerous for online surfers! It comes in ninth place with 11.25 %.

The list wraps up with Ghost Rider, at 10.83%.
