'I know that Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is all about great dance and the popularity of the actors. I don't know what went wrong with me. I really don’t know how it works.'

Kritika Kamra analyses her stint in the dance reality show.

Television actress Kritika Kamra has just got eliminated from the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Kritika was a favourite with the audiences but the judges were not happy with inconsistence in her performances. She and partner Savio Barnes had a tough time staying afloat with decent scores.

With a knockout performance in the Face Off round against Puja Banerjee, Kritika and Savio upped the ante on the quality of their performance.

But it came a little too late.

"Honestly, I was surprised when I reached the bottom two. I was improving with every performance. I got the best comments from the judges for my elimination and last performance,” said Kritika.

Kritika is one of the most popular faces on television, and was not expecting such an early exit.

“I know that the show is all about great dance and the popularity of the actors. I don't know what went wrong with me. I really don’t know how it works.”

Still, she did get something out of the experience. “I learnt many new dance forms. I will continue dancing. It was a short and sweet journey and a great learning experience to be a part of the dance reality show.”

She praises choreographer and dance partner Savio Barnes.

“For me, winning was not my aim. I just wanted to learn dance. I am feeling bad for Savio that he could not win the show because of me. He did his best for me. He was one of the best choreographers on the show.”

She will miss the rehearsals and the team with whom she spent so much time. “I am going back with some friends for life. Yesterday was Savio’s birthday and I went to his place to wish him,” she says.

Would she like to go back as a wild card?

“No. Some things are meant to end,” she smiles.

Kritika took a break from her TV serial for a couple of years and then returned to the small screen as a host on MTV Webbed.

There are still some episodes of MTV Webbed she has to shoot for and “after that I will take a break and go on a holiday. I am in no hurry to take on a new project. I will choose something that will help me to grow as an actress.”

Kritika was dating her co-star Karan Kundra during the shooting of Kitni Mohabbat Hai, but the couple parted ways in 2012.

Recently, they posted pictures of themselves on Twitter enjoying a bike ride and a lunch in a restaurant. They have been flooded with comments from fans asking if they are together again.

Kritika says, “I on Facebook and Twitter but nobody says anything.

“When I say we are just friends, I really mean it. Some friends are for life. They know your past, believe in your future and accept your present. All these reconciliation rumours are false,” she sets the record straight.
