Cronje to confess? The Rediff TeamHas the Hansie Cronje bubble burst? Sport Africa, the Johannesburg-based radio station, is reporting that according to its affiliate station in Durban, Hansie Cronje has admitted to being untruthful regarding the match-fixing allegation. He has left the team and is reportedly heading to Pretoria, the South African capital, to meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Aziz Pahad. Accompanying him is his priest. Further revelations are expected once Cronje meets with the minister. Sources in South Africa meanwhile indicate that Cronje, in his meeting with the minister, will admit to being involved in the match-fixing scam. Further, it is expected that he will tell the minister that he himself is the only one involved, and that his team-mates -- of whom Gibbs, Strydom and Boje have been named in the FIR filed by the Indian police -- are innocent.
