Prabhakar upset by Dhindsa's remarksOnkar Singh, in Delhi Former India allrounder Manoj Prabhakar is believed to be upset by sports minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa's recent comments about him in the media. Dhindsa, of late, has been lashing out at Prabhakar for his undercover investigations and recordings of informal conversations with unsuspecting persons in his attempt to substantiate his allegations against Kapil Dev. A close friend of the former cricketer, who has accused Kapil Dev of offering him Rs 2.5 million to under perform in a match against Pakistan in the Singer Cup tournament in 1994, said Prabhakar is quite upset by the recent comments of the minister. "The minister should not have said all that he said about Manoj," he said. In a brief conversation with rediff.com, Prabhakar, though visibly irked by the minister's statements, only said: "I never intended to hurt the sentiments of anyone when I went to CBI or showed the media the clippings of some of my videotaped conversations with other cricket players. I just want to cleanse Indian cricket. "If there is a case against me, let them go ahead and investigate it. But investigate it fairly. The whole tension is off after handing over the video tapes to the CBI." Sure, the tension is over for Prabhakar, but while Kapil Dev's supporters accuse Prabhakar of giving doctored tapes to CBI, Prabhakar has categorically stated that he has not cut out even a single word from the tapes, and has even let the comments against him go as they are.
