Zidane makes world record move

Zinedine Zidane announced on his official website on Monday that he had joined Real Madrid from Juventus in a record-breaking four-year deal he said was worth up to 500 million French francs ($64.45 million).

"I can officially confirm that I have signed a four-year contract with Real Madrid which includes an option for an additional year for between 480 and 500 million francs," said France's World Player of the Year.

"The transfer will not, however, be completely closed until a fax from Juventus has been received confirming the transaction," Zidane added.
