Sushma Rana of CISF erased her own national record by logging 676.3 points to win gold in the 25 metres pistol event while Deepalio Deshpande of Maharashtra continued her winning spree claiming the yellow metal in the 50 metres rifle event in the 47th National Shooting championships in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Sushma rewrote her own Bangalore 2002 record of 667.2 to finish ahead of Shweta Choudhary (Indian Airlines) and Saroja Kumari (Army) in a well-contested women's 25 metres pistol event at the Hyderabad Central University Shooting range.

Deepali found her golden mark again in the 50 metres rifle event, relegating Kuheli Gangulee of CISF and Meena Kumari of Army to minor placings.

Other prominent gold winners of the day include, Vivek Singh (IA), in 10 metres air pistol, Harwinder Singh (Chandigarh), in the men's individual event of 10 metres air pistol, and Ronak

Pandit of Maharashtra, in the junior section.

Army women and Indian Airlines men won gold in the team championship 50 metres rifle and 10 metres air pistol events respectively.

Following are the days results:

25m pistol-women: Sushma Rana (CISF) 676.3 (gold), Shweta Chaudhary (IA) 671.5 (silver), Saroja Kumar (Army) 662.8 (bronze).

50m rifle 3 postion-women: Deepali Deshpande (Mah) 671.8 (gold), Kuheli Gangulee (CISF) 666.0 (silver), Meena Kumari (Army) (bronze).

Team championship: Army (Lakashmi Priya, Raj Kumari and Meena Kumari)  1701 (gold), Raiways (Pournima Zanane, Anuja Tera and Suma Shirur) 1697 (silver), CISF (Anjali Bhagwat,

Kuheli Gangulee and Leena) 1692 (bronze).

10m air pistol-men: National championship: Vivek Singh (IA) 684.6 (gold), Ronak Pandit (Mah) 678.1 (silver), Samresh Jung (CISF) 677.3 (bronze).

Team championship: IA (Deepak Sharma, Vivek Singh and Zakir Khan) 1720 (gold), Army (Gurpal Singh, Mahavir Singh and Ved Prakash) 1701 (silver), Maha (Ronak Pandit, Yogesh Sudke and Amol Renke) 1698 (bronze).

Men: Individual championship: Harwinder Singh (Chd) 567 (gold), Vikran Kadam (Mah) 562 (silver), Vipin Rana (Chha) 562 (bronze).

Junior men - National championship: Ronak Pandit (Mah) 580 (gold), Zakir Khan (IA) 571 (silver), Bhrigu Dutt (Del) 568 (bronze).

Team championship: Mah (Ronak Pandit, Yogesh Sydke and Amol Renke) 1698 (gold), IA (Nikhilsing, Toshinder Singh and Zakir Khan) 1675 (silver), Army (Satya Narayan, Vijay Kumar

and Gurjeet Singh) 1670 (bronze).
