Second seed Prakash Amritraj sailed into the final after shoulder trouble forced his opponent, Mustafa Ghouse, to withdraw from the semi-final match in the second leg of the ITF Men's Satellite tournament in Chandigarh on Friday.
Amritraj won the first set 6-4 without receiving much resistance from his opponent, who looked in discomfort while playing shots.
But Ghouse's pain became unbearable and forced him to retire hurt during the second set when Amritraj was leading 3-2.
In other semi-final of the day, third seed Vijay Kannan easily defeated Indonesian Febi Widhiyanto 6-4, 6-4.
In the doubles final, the pair of Vijay Kannan and Saurav Panja got a walkover as Mustafa Ghouse and Vishal Uppal failed to put in an appearance.
The singles final will be played tomorrow.
