The knee injury that forced Prakash Amritraj out of the ITF Futures tennis tournament in Jakarta this week would not keep him out of India's crucial Davis Cup tie against Holland later this month, Prakash's father Vijay Amritraj said on Wednesday.
"He has injured his knee tendon. It is not serious and he will be fit to play in the Davis Cup," Vijay said at New York.
Prakash retired hurt in the first round of the 15,000 dollar tennis event in Jakarta on Tuesday while trailing Sadik Kadir of Australia 5-7 1-2.
Prakash was now on his way back to home in Los Angeles, Vijay said.
India will take on Holland in the World Group qualifying tie of the Davis Cup from September 19 to 21.
