India's Jeev Milkha Singh has been selected for the Asian team to take on Europe in next year's Royal Trophy, organisers said on Tuesday.
Singh, this year's Asian Player of the Year and the 2006 Asian Tour order of merit winner, was captain Naomichi "Joe" Ozaki's third pick for his eight-man team.
Singh's first appearance in the Royal Trophy was earlier this year in Asia's 12-½ to 3-½ thrashing by Europe.
The inaugural edition in 2006 was a closer contest, with the Europeans winning by just two points.
World number 78 Singh joins Japanese pair Hideto Tanihara and Toru Taniguchi in the Asian line-up.
On Monday, Britons Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood were the first players named on Seve Ballesteros's European team.
Singles, foursomes and fourballs will be contested when the Royal Trophy returns to the Amata Springs Country Club in Chonburi for a third successive year, from Jan. 11-13.
