India Forum's Annual Gala

About 200 prominent Indian Americans in and around Washington attended the annual gala of the India Forum, a social and cultural organization.

The event was held this week at the World Trade Center Apart from India Forum officials Veena Girdhar, India Forum board president; Manjit Singh, board chair; Sheela Kashyap, Kiran Bijpuria, Murli Mathur, Arundhati Sarpatwari and Jyoti Kumta, board members, the guests included Ambassador T P Sreenivasan, deputy chief of mission, Indian Embassy; Dr Ashok Chopra, cardiologist with Heart Associates; Jim Durkin, manager with Practical Technologies Inc; and Devindar Sidhu, president of Sidhu Associates Inc.
