After months of speculation, it's official: Color's Balika Vadhu will take a five-year leap.
However, the channel is still contemplating as to who would play the older Anandi and Jagya in the popular soap.
Anandi, popularised by Avika Gor, is expected to go through a complete makeover -- from a chirpy child bride to a poised young woman.
The young adults will continue to deal with their situations in life.
Avika fans are sure to be disappointed to see her go off air, but the five-year leap in the story may to bring in some refreshing change.
The change is expected to happen some time in mid-July.
