'I don't want to create any type of image through my roles'

Tell us about the transformation in Male Barali Manju Irali.

The credit for that should go to director Vijayalakshmi Singh who has also designed my clothes. I have a different get up in the film. The change in looks is inevitable for every role. When my director briefed me about the role, I was quite excited and involved in serious discussions with her.

She was well prepared and told me her requirements. We then decided on a particular type of costume. If I look more glamorous in the film with modern costumes, the credit should go to Madam Vijayalakshmi because she designed my clothes.

How different is this role from the other roles you have portrayed so far?

As an artist I have to show some difference in the range of emotions in every role that I portray. One thing is for sure. You will not see any traces of Anjali's character that I played in Milana in Sneha's character in Male Barali Manju Irali. I don't want to create any type of image through my roles.

When you watch Male Barali Maju Irali, I am sure you will realise that you're seeing a different Parvathy in this film. My character has been so well defined in the film that you will start loving Sneha from the beginning of the film.
